Poems Of Awakening

Poems and prayers from the heart

Of Meanings, Patterns, and Symbols

How awesome were the scenes of that special day,
December thirty-first, two thousand and twelve, before the New Year’s Day .
But most of all it was the day to close and open importantly,
the New Year -two thousand and thirteen
a brand New Year, a global holiday!

Delightfully I visited some favorite tree lined lanes
festooned with symbols of the season’s imagery.
Oh! they exude the vibrant aura of an extraordinary day,
with thousand lights and buntings
hung here and there beautifully,
the joy and festive ambience of the occasion
is palpable in every way.

The shops on both sides of the avenues
displayed great colors of all hues,
And by all means they look so mighty grand and gorgeous!
Candles of all shapes, candles colored, slim and tall,
compete with each other’s glow and size,
huge,medium large or small
and you’d love to linger far or near to watch each one and all!

The sound of music floats softly in the air
seeming to fill all nooks and cranny
stirring memories of way back when
from hidden depths within.
Oh how they jibe sweetly altogether
with expectations for the season
which through the years
Have been noted as life’s symbols and patterns!

Year in- year out,Love’s meanings are spoken,
The truth conveyed remained the same!
They never lie ,they never die, they never ever change!
The new gets old,the old fades out,
the new gets to begin, and on and on it goes again,
until you find the rhythm,
What goes up must go down
and all that has beginnings must one day find its ending!
And Love and Life as One
Is always in the Present!
